I've been using the two channel model of the GE outlet remote switches for years without problems.But these 8 channel models are bad news.As the title says, out of a total of 8, 3 remotes and 1 receiver were defective.
This product could have been great,with 8 channels to use but it was slow and only worked good at night time.During day time ,sometimes it did not work at all.
Not worth purchasing. The first one I recevied did not work, the 2nd on I received works some of the time.
It carried a GE logo, what a shame. Claimed a range of 100 to 150ft & the fact is 5 ft or less & you have to point right at the receiver to have it working.
Needs line of sight probably. I tried to position outside behind shed to control lights around 100 ft. Didn't work.
