They needed to use the same channel changing switch on the keychain unit they use on the wall and plug unit. Do not bye the keychain remote, bye the wall/desktop unit instead. The Plug in box works very well with the wall switch unit, but the Keychain remote is very bad. The Chanel switch does not work 99% of the time and then only if on channel 1 or 8 I have not gotten the other channels to work at all.
I would caution others to beware of buying from this vendor. The seller did not send the outlet with the Keychain so I have a useless device without the complete package.
The remotes work well at 30 to 40 feet but in the dark it is a little difficult to change channels. Would I buy/recommend these. Bought 4 remotes and 4 outlets, all worked but I had to "play" with them. These seem to work better than other remotes I've had. For the price and flexibility - Yes. There are 4 "house" settings in addition to the 8 channels. I couldn't get the remotes to do what I wanted until I changed those on both the remote and outlet pairs.
TO RECEIVER. REMOTE WILL TURN ON AS STATED BUT TO TURN OFF YOU HAVE TO BE IN FRONT. UP CLOSE.
I would recommend this product. I was able to go to the furthest room and still was able to control the outlet. Great product. The RF control works great since I can control the outlet thru wall. Great product. This product worked as expected. I opened the box, plugged my outside lights and was able to control the lights on/off with no problem.
